  • Agile EdVantage™ focuses on the importance of stakeholders in business organizations and school communities. As a Certified Agile Scrum Master, Agile Scrum Trainer, Agile Coach, Agile Scrum Leader (Executive), Kanban Project Manager, Professional in Design Thinking, Certified Six Sigma Coach, and Accredited Program Manager, our collaborative work will focus on human-centered approaches; blending principles from multiple, high quality, outcome-based frameworks; engaging and energizing stakeholders; highlighting 'voice and choice'; streamlining operations; embedding AI; advancing business and school leaders' and employees' roles moving toward instructional and inspirational coaches/trainers; and developing and designing innovative solutions through communication, collaboration, and taking courageous steps.

Vital Communities Early Childhood Education Initiative, Lead Consultant

  • The goal of the Early Childhood Education Initiative is to increase the availability and affordability of high-quality early care and education in the Upper Valley through a collective impact model

  • Use Agile Scrum and other innovative frameworks to advise workgroups on action agendas and support their implementation of those agendas

  • Engage with each workgroup to help assess current goals, progress to date, and future plans

  • Guide and support the groups in revising their work plans as needed, ensuring that they are SMART and have metrics for success

  • Guide the groups in tracking actions to ensure progress and ultimate completion

  • Assess and make recommendations on stakeholder engagement. Identify voices that are missing from the initiative and - in consultation with the Steering Committee - reach out to those individuals or organizations to encourage participation

  • Recommendations on and outreach to additional individuals or organizations included in the initiative

  • Introductions, as appropriate and possible, to donors for Initiative stakeholders

  • Advance collaborative leadership. Advise and support the Steering Committee in guiding project implementation, including the identification of topics that should be addressed by the Steering Committee, facilitation of meetings, and articulation of Steering Committee purpose, responsibilities, and membership

 

Superintendent of Schools 

SAU #88 School District – Lebanon, New Hampshire  

August 2014-June 2023

                                         

Responsible for oversight of 360 staff members, an annual budget of $45 million, implementation of the  Lebanon School Board vision and three-year strategic plan, management of $16 million+ renovation projects, regular communication with community members and other stakeholders, developing partnerships with local agencies and businesses, and the day-to-day management of educational programs, budget, and facilities. 

  

Selected Accomplishments: ​

  • Administration of Strategic Plan surveys and development of multiple three-year strategic plans 

  • Creation of a transparent District-wide budgeting process that is zero-based and fiscally responsible 

  • Development of a Technology replacement plan; a multi-year Facilities Improvement Plan, and updated Emergency Response Plans 

  • Approved multi-year AREA agreement between the school districts of Plainfield, Grantham, and Lebanon 

  • Implementation of evaluation systems for the Superintendent, Administrators, Teachers, and Paraeducators 

  • Implementation of a valid curriculum cycle with the goal to publish the curriculum so it is readily available to all stakeholders 

  • Support for Extended Learning Opportunities and STEM experiences including our partnership with Thetford Academy, Hypertherm, and Fuji Dynamix 

  • Collaboration with the Hartford Area Career and Technical Center 

  • Efforts focused on supporting students and families through the Bi-Annual Summit in collaboration with the Public Health Network bringing local Districts and social agencies together 

  • Approval of multi-million-dollar renovation projects at MLS, LHS, and HSS 

  • Development and implementation of operating plans associated with Covid 19 in collaboration with local/state agencies and district personnel 

  •  Improvement in providing services that fall under Student Supports- ELL, Special Education, 504, mental health services, and our Preschool and Intensive Needs Program

Selected Accomplishments: Curriculum 

  • Led SAU 70 and building-level curriculum committees 

  • Developed a shared direction and created multi-year strategic plans for K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment 

  • Led the process to align curricula to state and national standards with a specific focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) 

  • Used state and local assessments to gather data and develop and execute improvement plans creating feedback loops to measure progress 

  • Led monthly Leadership Council meetings and presented curriculum progress updates to SAU 70 Boards (Hanover, Norwich, Dresden) 

  • Oversaw SAU 70 (New Hampshire and Vermont) Student Services Programs-Special Education, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Section 504, Title IX, and insecure housing 

  • Developed school district policies and worked with administrators to ensure compliance with all special education laws and regulations 

  • Developed and refined the Professional Development Master Plan, Special Education Local Educational Procedures Plan, and LAU Plan
